Train and photo wise, this has got to be one of the best places in the country. All across the pass there are many different and unique photo opportunities, although lighting sometimes can be an issue, and there are plenty of trains to shoot. However, the traffic is absolutely horrible. So much so that in the middle of the day I had to take backroads so as not to get stuck in Westbound traffic, and that road was also clogged by people, doing the same thing. I would suggest arriving very early and staying in spot/within walking distance so as not to waste time driving between locations.

It is an awesome drive through the Cajon Pass just wish I could spend some time out here and get some real photographs but for now these drive-bys will have to do

Stunningly beautiful! Drive defensively...be careful and pay attention! I've been through the pass many times and never had a problem but it is a mountain pass with changing weather conditions so travel safely!

But there is an incident, maybe last 1989 94 and 96 Because trains went out of control crashed how it happened in Santa Fe 576 collided with another train and there is another one that another train Santa Fe 157 derailed from a bridge
And the last Sp 7551 where it derailed for seven more houses
