My brother had a procedure done last week, It went very well. He has been going to the VA Hospital for over 30 years. They been talking very good car of him. I are breakfast while I was there, it was ok a lot of variety to choose from which was good. But the eggs was liquid process eggs not shell eggs and the turkey sausage was very process. The grits and hash browns were ok. My recommendation for them if they read this go with Williams, Jimmy dean or Tennessee pride sausage they will taste better. And use real shell eggs please. Other than that the workers in the restaurant was nice and friendly and the restaurant very clean.

In general this is a really good facility. After the pandemic there is a understaffed over booked kind of feeling but that is at every medical facility. I'm satisfied with my medical care. The Lt. Col. Luke Weathers Jr. VA is always changing. They have built a new parking garage to address the parking issues. They have volunteers riding around in carts to give you a lift. Being disabled, that is a plus. It's a learning hospital so there are a lot of up and coming UT doctors there. I am truly blessed to have such good medical care. If you want to see the price of freedom...Come pay a visit to the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers Jr. VA Medical Center. You will see true patriots. God Bless them all.

I'm not from here. I found myself in the need for emergency care last weekend. I was there on Saturday, then again on Sunday. Except for the intake lady talking on her cell while asking me for my information, it was a very good medical experience. The bald headed triage nurse was awesome! So too were the doctors, nurses and assistants. The environment was very clean and free from random trash and dust. They even set a time thru the specialist I need to see for me (though the f/u appointment is not until the middle of March 2025. I appreciate their commitment to excellence and great medical services. Thank you VA.

I went to the ER for chest pain they did an ekg. They attached an oxygen reader to my finger and blood pressure monitor to my arm. However they did not connect those to the machine. To truly monitor. The nurse who made it clear she was not apart of the team that was assigned to my room. Did not listen to me I informed her that my veins roll and blow out easily. They said they’d need a pic nurse. She decided she could do it anyway. That’s what she did to my arm. She did not listen. This photo is not even 24 hours later. They discharged me saying maybe anxiety.

I had the pleasure of attending the Blue Light Christmas program. I must say job well done..I experienced a beautiful array of Christmas songs and positive affirmations during the program. Chaplain Butler and her cohorts provided exceptional entertainment. The Musicians and singers were very professional and inspiring. Chaplain Butler impersonating Michael Jackson was an added joy. Chaplain Norton’s piece on reflections really hit home for me. I look forward to next year.

Horrible place for veterans. Entering the building no one speaks or smiles in the lobby. 5th floor surgery nurses wouldn't speak and was complaining amongst each other.
After surgery my loved one was unable to get any medicine because they forgot to put in an order. Had to wait hours for the doctor to sign off. The night staff nurses was not informed of daily medication and stated they couldn't issue it.
As a case manager who have had to accompany several veterans through out the years this hospital never fails to provide poor service to men and women who have served our country.
The hospital needs to be investigated outside of Memphis employees.

Here it is a week after my Dad was told he has a serious bone infection that he is still waiting to be MAILED antibiotics. This place is the absolute worst.
UPDATE- It's been a week since his doctor told him he needs antibiotics. Still hasn't received them. My Dad called today for an update and was told they never put in an order for antibiotics for him. The nurse said "Oh you probably don't even need them, but call back on Monday." How do they not care about their patients at all

Customer Service was Amazing. My husband had to go to the orthopedic and we didn't have a long wait. One of the staff members was loved my mask she said that it's a conversation starter lol. We chatted about what I do and how I work from home as a Travel Agent. I love the VA they take care of my husband and I will tell everyone about the VA.
