Was a good park to watch the 2024 Solar Eclipse!

I have seldom encountered a public park more poorly planned and filthy. Used condoms, disgared weaves, and other trash littered the ground.

The playground is also about a foot and a half to tall and it's not on the same level. Does not seem like much till you imagine a 10ft tall slide the end in almost a 3 ft drop. A "bridge" that you have to scall at a 45 degree angle.

If your "kids" are not in their teens I would not recommend trying to use it.

All in all I would say it fails in utility, function, and family friendliness.

The homeless men fishing in the "lake" next to the park seems to like it but apart from that it did not seem like the best place to stop.

No baby swings or anything for smaller children and instead of wood chips or rubber chips there is just dirt and sand under the playground and there is lots of garbage in it - the city should hire someone to clean it up

I love the park but the amount of trash that is always on the property is ridiculous . It would also be nice if they had an actual bathroom instead of a port-a-potty.

I like this park, it's clean and has a nice walking trail. Bathrooms. Picnic tables and grills. Lots of swings and park toys.
